Oh my days!! Back here at this perfect spot in Umbria, SPAO Borgo San Pietro is an absolute gem and it was a joy to be back with Denise and Mathias for this celebration. Charlie and I headed out there for the full weekend spending Friday evening shooting a pre wedding party into the early hours and the Saturday Shooting one of the best weddings I've ever attended. This is for a number of reasons but the standout is just how lovely everyone was, how much they wanted to be there for D&M and how much energy they had for the whole event.
Friday was spent eating food, listening to wonderful speeches, although I wouldn't actually know what was being said as it was all in Danish. However there was a point in the speeches Charlie and I heard our names mentioned, this was followed by laughter and lots of smiles, I never did ask what was said but I can only hope it was thanks and some reference to the fact we had no idea what was being said! The evening went on into the night and toward the end of so so much dancing we sat with a bottle of wine sat high on the hill and watched the last of the dancing looking over the Umbrian hills. Not a bad Friday really.
Saturday followed the same theme really, lots of love, friendship and family values on full display, food, speeches, games, tradition and then SO much dancing. When I said everyone brought the energy for these two I meant it. I could go on and on about this venue but I won't bore you, the photos speak for themselves really. Scroll down and take a look.
