Rachel & David – Chaucer Barn Wedding

Well, here's a little throwback. Back to a time when weddings were a thing and I was allowed out of the house and into the sunshine. I had been looking forward to this wedding for a while. Ever since Jo, QUEEN of planning at One Curious Dream got me on board I had been eager to get shooting, if you want a wedding planning this one is the person you need. This wedding was going to be a super chilled Chaucer Barn Wedding with big family vibes. Nowt better really is there?!

Chaucer Barn is up near the North Norfolk Coast and as I woke I saw the sun shining and knew this would be a belter. I headed out a little early to go and grab a coffee from Grey Seal (amazing coffee shop) in Sheringham before heading to the wedding. I arrived in the car and wandered to the seafront to get a breath of that good sea air. Leaning over the wall I saw the most beautiful colour of water. I knew I wouldn't be able to resist a dip so I went back to the car, popped on some shorts (always have shorts in the car in case of swimming opportunities) and jumped into the sea.  Scroll right to the bottom to see. There is no better way to start your day than with a dip in the sea followed by good coffee and a wedding! Life affirming goodness!

Chaucer Barn

I arrived at Chaucer barn head high and feeling good. Rachel and David had planned a day with family being key and tradition kept to a minimum so throughout morning prep everyone wandered around freely chatting and laughing in the sunshine. Perfect right?! There was time for family to catch up, time for kids (and adults) to play table tennis, football and time for joy. These kind of things are my favourite. Everyone getting ready together gives such a warm feel to the day. Feels like love. It's mega!

After a quick lunch people made their way to a clearing where Rachel and David were to get married. David wandered along to and Rachel followed after that. It was a super cute ceremony with a string quartet and the wind gently blowing through the trees above. Afterwards, everybody strolled back together to enjoy the sunshine it Chaucer Barn's unbelievable grounds. There was a huge Tipi and some incredible inside it provided by my dudes Carway-Roe. Connor and Phoebe and their team knock out some of the best food around, without a doubt!

Listen you lot, there's not much point in me trying to explain the rest. I'm rubbish with words. All you really need to know is that days like this are magic. As I sit here in lockdown I am forever grateful for days like this. Sit back and enjoy and if you want to book you wedding photography just fill in the contact form and lets get your magic day sorted yeah?!Awesome Suppliers - One Curious Dream - Chaucer Barn - Carway-Roe - Rambling Rose Florist - Stephanie Alexander MUA - Sassa Bespoke Cakes - Magical Events - Belles and Beaus Styling - DiscoWed DJ - Berry and Brie- Malthouse Quartet - Frog and Dog Pizza - Quirk Events
